undefinedI am quite sure, very few people who use Windows 7 as operating system have explored the very useful screenshot capturing tool “Snipping Tool” within the OS. This Tiny program possess no less potentiality than any other built in program of Windows 7. Using this tool, you can capture a screen shot, or snip, of any object on your screen, and then annotate, save, or share the image over internet or any other way.

Following types of snips can be captured with Snipping tool:
  • Free-form Snip: Draw a free-form shape around an object.
  • Rectangular Snip: Drag the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.
  • Window Snip: Select a window, such as a browser window or dialog box, that you want to capture.
  • Full-screen Snip: Capturing the entire screen.
After you capture a snip, it's automatically copied to the clipboard and the mark-up window. From the mark-up window, you can annotate, save, or share the snip.

How to use Snipping Tool
  • To use snipping tool, go to Start>All programs>Accessories>Snipping Tool and click. The program interface like above picture will pop up.
  • Click on the small downward arrow for selection of your snipping type.
  • Select the Area you want to capture and release the mouse.  It will automatically open the captured screen in editing mode where you can annotate on or around the captured image.
  • Click on Save Button for saving the Image in png, gif or jpg format.
